There’s no better way to wind down 2015 than to give a big shout-out to four special people in the School of Nursing. This year, 2015, the School of Nursing had four nominations for the USD Women of Impact award.
The nominees were:
Dean Sally Brosz Hardin,
Dr. Susie Hutchins,
Dr. Katie Sweeney, and
2nd year MEPN, Diana Appleby.
The nominees were treated to a special luncheon where they were acknowledged for their work both on and off campus.
These women amplify what it means to make a positive impact: “A women of impact is one who lives principles of social justice. Her community is not merely a place in which she exists; it is a place she actively improves. She practices the principles of creativity, courage, solidarity, empowerment, equity and collaboration,” the Women’s Center explains. We are proud to have these women on the USD campus.
Congratulations to these outstanding colleagues!
