Have you listened to a nursing podcast?

As a nurse it can be difficult to find people who can truly relate to your varied experiences, such as having to deal with particularly challenging patients or regretting taking that extra shift for money—again.

Here’s a short list of podcasts for nursing advice, stories, and humor:

Crash Carts and Cocktails. Critical care nurses Sarah and Angela talk about everything from buying black market organs to PTSD among healthcare workers to near-miss medication errors. The stories they share are not only relatable, but also funny and informative.

See You Now. Produced by Johnson & Johnson and the American Nurses Association, this podcast brings you conversations with real nurses about how they tackle various challenges through innovations and human-centered solutions.

Nurse Blake. Nurse Blake is a real nurse and social media personality with 2.5 million followers. In his podcast, Nurse Blake brings you his unfiltered and hilarious take on a range of topics, from the gay blood ban to foley catheter insertion. His co-host and husband, Brett, provides his unique perspective as a non-healthcare worker and spouse of a busy nurse.

Ask Nurse Alice. Need some nursing-related advice? Nurse Alice Benjamin, MSN, APRN, ACNS-BC, FNP-C, likely has an answer for you in this podcast in which she combines interviews with experts and no-nonsense advice. As she tells Nurse.org, she wants to help listeners build their knowledge base and confidence and instill in them a sense of empowerment.
